Jersey is the ideal place for a family holiday. It’s small enough to feel safe and comfortable, yet there is enough there for everyone. No matter what their age or personal preferences, to find something that they want to do (and probably many things). Plus, because it’s away from mainland UK, there is an extra special thrill in the journey, whether by plane or ferry.
But just why is the family holiday so important in the first place? Here are some ideas.
It’s Different
Everyone can easily get stuck in a rut when it comes to their daily routines. Much of these tasks that we do have to be done; we need to wake up at a certain time, to get dressed and eat breakfast, to pack bags for work and school, to make those commutes, make a will and so on… but although they are completely necessary, they are also dull. A holiday to Jersey with the family means, if nothing else, that you get to do different things. By seeing different things. And you experience different things. Your family routine is disrupted, just for a little while, and when you get back to it after your break away, you will feel refreshed, re-energized, and ready to go

You Can Play
When was the last time you really enjoyed yourself? What with work and the pressures of everyday home-life, the school run, meetings, making food for everyone, set up some estate planning and getting to bed on time, when was the last time you did something for yourself that was simply fun? It was probably a while ago. Maybe even on your last family holiday.
This is another reason why a family holiday is a good idea. When you’re away from home you can do things you wouldn’t normally have the time or energy for. Plus you can play with your children, giving them more of your time and really engaging which, even if it’s something we desperately want to do, isn’t always possible when at home.
Make Memories
Family holidays are when some of the best, most magical memories are made. Jersey has so much to do that it is easy to find places to make these special memories, giving you a lifetime of joy even after the holiday is over. This kind of memory making is all-important for creating a stronger bond between you and your children, and it will always give you something to talk about and look back on fondly.
It’s Healthy
Family holidays are great for your health, especially your mental health. Stress can cause many problems in life, but getting away from it all and spending time with the people you love can reduce that stress massively, re-setting your mind and body and allowing you to think clearly about your lasting power of attorney. You might be able to finally make some important decisions, or simply relax and enjoy the time away from home. Whatever you do, you’ll feel better for it, and so will everyone else who is on holiday with you.
